Overall, the Scott MTB Aspect 950 is a reliable and capable mountain bike that offers a great value for the price. It's designed to handle off-road trails and provide an enjoyable riding experience for those new to mountain biking or looking to upgrade their current bike. The frame is strong and lightweight as it is made from aluminium. The entire bike weighs about 14 - 15kg, depending on the size of the frame. It is equipped with a SR Suntour XCT30-HLO with 100mm of travel with a hydraulic lockout, which absorb shocks and bumps, for a smoother ride on rough trails. You can easily switch between gears, due to the reliable Shimano Altus RD-M2000 system drivetrain. It features a 18-speed-setup, which means you have a wide range of gears to tackle all types of terrains. The Aspect 950 comes with a Tektro HDM275 hydraulic disc brakes, offering consistent stopping power as well as perform well in different weather conditions. The 29 inch tyres are to your advantage due to the enormous running smoothness, saving power on your long tours as well as uphill and downhill. Due to the large circumference of the tyres, obstacles are easier to overcome and a greater distance can be covered by fewer pedalling.
